Hello 2010 Suncoast Arts Fest artists!

Here is more detailed information about the show -

1.    Wiregrass map -Here’s a map of the Shops at Wiregrass showing where the “Artist Check-In” table will be located. We realize some of you may show up earlier than 10pm. However, by our agreement with the Shops, no one is allowed to proceed with set-up until after 10pm. You may park your vehicles in parking lot E beside Macy’s if you arrive early.

2.    Check-in and set-up - This starts at 10pm on Friday. There will be no check-in earlier than that. We will stop check-in at 12 midnight though artists may continue setting up. There will be security officers on the premises specifically guarding the art.  Check-in resumes at 4am to 8:30 am on Sat. Everyone must be set-up by 9:30 am for the beginning of the show at 10 am.

3.    Judging and award presentation - Judges will be on the premises at about 9:30 am on Sat. and will judge until they are finished, probably in the afternoon. Awards will be announced on Sunday at about 11am. We realize that the artists may not be able to leave their booths so first the awards will be delivered to each of the winners and then there will be an announcement of the winners from the stage. Names of the winners will also be posted near the Entertainment Tent.

4.    “Buy-Sell” - We are always alert to “Buy-Sell” items. We reserve the right to ask any artist who appears to have “buy-sell” items to leave.

5.    Art category - Each artist has been accepted into a specific category and may not exhibit any art outside that category. Only one artist per booth unless previously discussed with the show committee. The artist must be present at his/her booth.

6.    Artist Exit Surveys - These will be distributed in registration packets and will be collected at the end of the show. The committee greatly appreciates that our artists have always had a close to 100% return rate of these forms. We listen to you and have made changes in the show based on your comments.

7.    E-mail contact – This year, we are attempting to “go green” and minimize our paper consumption so we are trying to use emails for communication. Please make sure to open any emails you get from us. Do not immediately delete them because they contain important info that you are probably interested in reading.

8.    Website – make sure to go to our website at www.suncoastartsfest.com and browse around. We are putting up the names of all the artists, a sample of their works and a website if applicable.

9.    Video – last but not least, consider the opportunity to have a video of your own produced by a professional videographer for a fraction of the usual cost. George likes us, loves art and will shot/edit a video which will do you proud. Nowadays, so much is visual and once you have a video, you’ll find more and more uses for it. So, take a look at Rasa’s sample video at the “Artist Application and Info” tab. For our coolest promotional video, go to “Arts Weekend”, select Arts Weekend and watch the Suncoast Arts Fest promo video.
